Welcome to the home of the Sheffield Steel City Globes Project!

Sheffield schools, based in the steel capital of the world, are fast developing the reputation of being the leaders in the use of digital media to support learning and teaching.

The Steel City Globe Awards project, organised annually by Sheffield Children and Young Peoples’ Service, has resulted in primary and secondary schools entering over 250 short films. The students have their work celebrated at a glittering awards ceremony at a prestigious City centre cinema, supported by some of the top names in show business and film.
